The new season is out so I made a new animated gif to celebrate!

In another reversal of policy, I decided to give Arakawa Under the Bridge another chance. The characters bothered me, especially the Chief (guy in the kappa suit), but I realized recently that it isn’t too far removed from Nichijou in substance. Nichijou has nice, fluid animation and simple, clean designs that I particularly enjoy, but Arakawa seems to have more interesting characters. After watching the second episode, it started to get a lot more interesting.
I made an animated gif to atone for my sins.

I received the following email on July 24:
I’ve finally (sorry) sent your K-on goods but it seems to be stuck
at a post office in LA. Are you away from your home now?
Nonchan from Studio Neko-Han-Ten was able to send a prize I had won in another of his contests (March 7 & May 8 Entries).
Apparently, no one was able to receive the package when it was delivered on July 19, which I discovered by looking at the tracking number (nonchan was smart enough to send me this number). Unfortuantely, I couldn’t find any notices about a failed delivery, and since it was Sunday I had to wait until Monday.
Now, this wouldn’t have been much of a concern, except there’s a policy for USPS to return packages to sender if they’re unclaimed for 5 days. I hoped that they didn’t count the day it arrived. I couldn’t verify it over the phone since no one was answering the phones on a Sunday.
I then remembered that my Jury Duty starts Monday! How would I be able to get it in time?! I checked online to see the reporting instructions and, luckily, I didn’t have to report to the courthouse on Monday! Yay! Now, I just had to wait until Monday morning to get the package before it went back to Japan.
I went to the post office on Monday as soon as it opened, and I got the package in time. It came with a CD, pamphlet, and 2 clear files. =D

Thanks again, nonchan!
I put off watching BECK for a long time since it didn’t seem like something I would want to watch. I would have put it off for longer, but I had the following curious conversation:
Neighbor: So, what’re you watching?
Me: An anime called Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai.
Neighbor: Oh… hey, you should watch BECK. It’s one of the best shows out there. Well, maybe not the best, but it’s at least in the top 10. It’s about a boy trying to find himself as he’s growing up.
Me: Sounds curious. I’ll check it out.
Neighbor: You should.
I’m about halfway through it, and while it’s not in my Top 10, it’s been good so far. Being inspired to make a new animated gif is a plus. ^_^

I listen to anime music once in a while, and I happened to be listening to Yume Note, the opening song for Moshidora. This reminded me of a scene from Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de where the Kuonji Yume’s diary is an obvious parody of Death Note.

It’s curious that the artist azusa made a song with the same name. I think she was a fan of the show and wanted to combine elements from Kimiaru, Moshidora, and Death Note since all three of these shows are similar… in a way.
How I felt after talking to my dad recently:
