I’ve been playing a bit of the Melty Blood: ReACT demo (information can be found here) and it feels pretty good. It is quite different from the original Melty Blood. One of the first things you notice is that the fighting engine is designed for speed. The air time for a normal jump is about half, and the moves come out a bit faster. It is now more difficult to do certain combos because of the quick reactions of the characters. I can’t seem to do the Arcueid infinite OTG air throw now, so I hope that they will “fix” the other infinites for other characters as well. Unfortunately, the character graphics are still a bit jagged. Oh well. The gameplay is fast and smooth, which is a big plus in my book. I can’t wait for the real thing.
